Forums - Sony - NO HDMI component....

Advise him to get an HDTV if he can afford it. It's worth it, especially if he is getting MGS4 (one of the best looking games this gen).

And I'm sure his TV has component. If he can't afford an HDTV, tell him to buy some component cables and then at least it will run in 480p (nowhere near 720p, 1080i or 1080p but better than SD).

Even HD-Ready is fine: it plays in 720p or 1080i, you can choose. And it's about a third of the price.

He dosn't have HDMI or Component? Then he won't get it in HD.

What will the difference look like? He is going to get Metal Gear Solid 4 bundled with a 80 GB PS3 and he is going to buy GTA IV and Fallout 3 seperately. How it look like playing on 480i compared to 720p or 1080p?

like a Wii game

(I'm not flaming here. It will look like a Wii game because of the resolution)

Graphically?

Maybe the difference doesn't look that big, but you'll notice it when you compare both version in motion.

KAMEO WAS AWESOME!!!

Creeper was one of my favourite characters.
