Seriously ive tried everything to fix this problem, but it still persists. After a certain period of time i get automatically signed out of PSN with DNS error  80710102.

Then i go on to check connection.....

Obtain Ip adress successful       Internet Connection failed

Ive got a wired connection, and i was wondering what exactly is default gateway? Is it the router code number?  Anyway my PSN signs in again after about 20mins but its very annoying. Ive replugged the modem restarted the console turned off my computer firewall messed around with the settings, and a lot more crazy ideas ive been given over the net that seem to result in no change. Ive also tried changing my DNS to public servers but i still get the same problem. Is there anywhere for me to regester and type in my modem router code into the PS3 network settings?

Please dont reccomend me to any sites with sollutions becasue ive proably tried them all ........twice.

So has anyone had this problem?    

 Do you no any solutions to this probelm?   What is Defualt Gateway?    Where can i type my Modem router code?

Any other questions that could lead to my PSN being improved ask and ill try my best to answer, cant guarantee ill no as im only 14.

The default gateway is the router's IP, usually it's 192.168.1.1 by default but it can be something else.
Did you try putting the Open DNS address in the DNS section?

well the Open DNS is the public one right?

ye i put a different 1 to that but i dont think it will work ive tried many free fast reliable DNS servers but for me they havent helped. Thanks for your suggestion though.

I've had this problem, never figured out how to fix it. Tried a Static IP b4, but then my IP settings reset a little later due to me doing so on my comp to fix a connection, then I was stuck at ground zero.
