Not all Nintendo games sell extremely well on the Wii. There are plenty of titles that have sold less than a million copies.

 

I know not all do. But the vast majority of them do. Also, I mentioned BIAHH (a shooter) doing relatively well on the 360. That doesn't mean it sold millions.

Good question. I think part of the reason nobody knows is because of so many people buying the PS3 for its Blu-Ray and not for games.

Firstly, those LBP "sells" were confirmed as week "0 (zero)", meaning they don't count. We will see the real first week of sells coming up soon.

Secondly, I can't say which "type", because really there isn't a "type" to define PS3 with. I could agree that it's considered the "jack-of-all-trades"

As for titles that will sell, GT5 and GoW3 are definite buys and system sellers no doubt about it.

Aslo, with all the hype for Killzone 2, it will be a system seller.

I can see Heavy Rain selling a system here and there, I wouldn't exactly call that title a system seller, but it will be pretty well hyped if Sony markets it.

Those are just 4 titles (not including LBP) that will be pretty big sellers (system or not) for PS3 owners.



  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

I'm sorry, I don't think thats the case. I know lots of ps3 owners but not a single one bought it because of the blu-ray only although some did buy it to get the prospects of watching blu-ray as well. That argument is outdated.

I don't know. I thought LBP would be a 5 mil+ seller but that doesn't seem like it would happen. So I won't be projecting anything this time even though I already have KZ2 pre-ordered lol.

dude this is not a problem alone psone and ps2 were on top despite ninty having mario ,, it's ok dude no prob. at all

You see, you made the argument for the 360's userbase earlier. That also applies to the ps2. It sold way more copies of GTA because of the userbase and timed-exclusivity. Ps2 sold most games last gen due to userbase. Same with ps1. PS still has no "defining genre"

It's a problem now because sony needs profit and the best way to make profit is to sell a gazillion copies of a SINGLE game.
