Forums - Microsoft - 3 Red Lights Question

I know that. In fact, I was planning to buy the PS3 in the US (since it is much cheaper than in Brazil) . But, that was before the dollar started to rise against the real (my country´s currency), so now I don´t know.

I´m gonna have to pay around 100 dollars to get it fixed. And I´ve been saving for my trip to the US, so that´s money I really didn´t want to spend right now.

Can´t you whore yourself out to ten fat chicks for ten dollars each ??? Or two really fat chicks for fifty dollars each ??? :)

Sorry to hear that man... I have been chronically broke for quite a while now too... but as long as I can kill aliens in outer space in one moment and fly a chopper through NYs skyline in the next I don´t need to go on vacation... would still be nice though...

The only reason I´m able to go is because of one of those credit cards plans I managed to get points from my dad, my brother and got to trade it for the tickets for free.

EDIT - I recognize the fat chicks reference. Where is that from?

A 40 GB one, is about 1500-1700 reais. That would be about 700-800 dollars.

same here dude it sucks

Same here too, in fact, it's more expensive (between 2400-2700 pesos, that's $800-$860), so it can always be worse

My 360 sometimes when I turn it on (and only when I turn it on, never after), gives me the the 3 red lights (both lights from the left and the bottom one on the right).

At least, I think that is the 3 red lights. It first happend a couple of weeks ago, and I spend 2-3 days without seeing it, than I experience it a couple of times. And each time, I turn the 360 off and then on again and it all seems fine.

Is my 360 slowly dying and I will lose it completely eventually or is it something else?

Mine actually slowly died the same way....

Eventually it permanently died, and Microsoft didn't simply fix my 2 1/2 year old console, they actually replaced it with a brand new one that was manufactured just a few months ago...

Therefore, just play the heck out of it, and I promise you it will give a permanent RROD soon enough, and then MS will either fix it, or as in my case, give you a new one.  (The new one is as quiet as a mouse too, so the RROD thing actually was kind of a blessing for me!)

With the dollar rising, here it's now around $650.

I'll be getting mine in Britain this december, thanks to the elevating PS3 userbase in Europe and the slipping British pound.

Sold mine when it broke for 65 GBP on ebay. When they go to 100 GBP I will get one again. Mid next yr hopefully.
