Sounds like a complete DVD image file, 6.8GB is the limit for 360 Dual layer DVDs. Or are Gears and Fable 2 cramming DVDs with data to fill up the whole disc?

LOL. it's not the loading times thats the benefit. I have made a new thread on this. Benefits are. Increase in framerates, almost complete noise change to nearly nothing, and no disc needed.

I agree with you on drive noise generation, at night when I tried to play Gears the 360 made so much f*cking noise my girlfriend would wake up after putting in the disc...

It will also allow 360 DVD drives to last longer and prevent disc scratching, the 360 DVD drives are cheap models from the PC world where they aren't strained as much (full harddrive install on the PC vs 360 off disc loading).

Yeah your right. My bad lol. I meant less drive damage, which seems to be the better case this day in age. Falcon RRODs are under 10% still from the general consesus.

I'll be burning every game that I play a lot of, especially Halo and Gears. Those games eat the DVD drive.

i died a couple of times in a row on Dead Space and the loading was quite obnoxious there. They also have loading hidden by doors so perhaps they might open faster?

Sorry about the late reply. I asked a few of my friends on CAG about the heat/loading time when games were burned to the drive, and infact there was less heat put out when games were played from the hard drive versus the dvd player. So it looks like indeed less heat is put out when games are burned. So not only is your 360 quieter but less prone to RROD. I'll take the word of 10+ people, sorry about that.

Here are the games transfered to my 120GB Hard Drive:

Mass Effect is 7.1 GB

Halo 3 is 6.9 GB

Fable 2 is 6.8 GB

I'll continue to transfer some games tonight, will post future data.

Crackdown won't copy for some reason. They have tested close to 200 games and a few can't be copied. Here are the following that can't be copied yet:

We have no idea on why for Crackdown and DOAX2. The reason for the Burger King games is because they work for XBox and 360, and apparently that has to do with the burning process somehow.

Does the framerate chug still on Mass Effect in some areas? I'm guessing load times are real nice tho.
