I think that's exactly why no one mentioned Dynamic Slash. There's just some screens and quick clip; no details, no release date.

A game I haven't seen mentioned is Dragon Quest Swords. I haven't played it and some people have bashed it, but if you like Dragon Quest...

There's also Kizuna. Not confirmed for a release outside of Japan though.

While the ToS spinoff is headed to the Wii, I wouldn't expect it to be as great as ToV (again, it's a spinoff). I recommend trying the old games people listed earlier (if you don't have a GC controller, wavebirds go for about $20 on ebay).

In the west, HD consoles outnumber the Wii, so it likely won't be seeing WRPG's like Fable or Mass Effect. In Japan, the Wii has had to compete with Microsoft moneyhats, PS3 expectations and the DS' monstrous userbase, so it hasn't really got big JRPG support yet. You'll have to wait a bit longer for the good stuff.

@Woopah He probably means released games by 'support'. Future games in 09 is plenty of support though.
