It's not good for gamers to send the message to sony that $700 is a good price for a console either. Sony has certainly learned their lesson this gen with more than 3 billion dollars in the hole.

If Sony could make a profit off a 500+$ machine, they would have no reason to drop it. It's the best of things that sony is getting beat down for their poor financial moves.

Wii has more 20 million sellers than PS3 has 5 million sellers.

I do have the money for them now.

I just can't justify the price in my head. $AU700 is HUGE. I'm really hoping for a cut early next year to $AU500.

Maybe I can still just get one for my friend this year.
