Thanks EA. You've ruined one of my favorite franchises. I hope you all enjoy this game, but if you ever played Red Alert 1 back in the 90's and enjoyed it, I think you will have a hard time enjoying this game.

Red Alert died with Westwood Studios.

I know   Westwood was such a great company.  It breaks my heart that they had to go under like they did.

Believe me, I know.  This is actually one of my biggest reasons for disliking EA.  Now I'm worried about Bioware...

Although EA bought out Westwood, a good number of the original staff still work on the C&C games incluidng RA3. That was my understanding anyway.

Besides RA series has always been about the fantastic corny cutscenes to me.

Red Alert 1's cutscenes weren't corny at all.  The game told an intelligent, intriguing story.  See this is what bothers me.  This is EXACTLY what I wrote about in my long winded post on the last page.  People say "Red Alert was ALWAYS super corny, and unrealistic."  But the fact is, no it wasn't.  It's like these people haven't played the original, best game in the series, and then they go on and use the word "always.'

Command and Conquer had 3 (as in three) of the members who worked on any of the original C&C games, where as RA3 now has 0 (as in ZERO).  Surprisingly Frank Klepacki, who did all of the soundtracks for the classic games, agreed to do ONE song for RA3, and it is Hell March 3.  So technically, he is the only person who had anything to do with the original, classic C&C games having any participation with C&C 3.  Almost the entire staff that was the original C&C team reformed under PETROGLYPH GAMES.

Surprisingly, I haven't been too fond of either of the two games Petroglyph has made thus far either... I don't get it...

Universe at War and Star Wars: Empire at War

They weren't bad, but they didn't capture me like any of the C&C games did.
