Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Splinter Cell Conviction Delayed to Early 08

One of the biggest 360 exclusives this year has been pushed back to Q1 08 or the last quarter in the fiscal year according to its publisher, Ubisoft (Jan-March 08).

Sad news for people who stifle their tears only long enough to sneak up on terrorists and choke them to death: A recent Ubisoft financial report says that Conviction isn't due until the fourth quarter of UbiSoft's fiscal year (read: Between January and March of '08). More of the financial report is available here, if you're interested.

We weren't terribly surprised that we wouldn't be getting to play Conviction this year, as we assumed Microsoft would have been trumpeting it in its all-2007 lineup at E3 if possible. We are, however, still a little sad that we won't get to gather around the Yule Log and experience the inner torment of emo Sam Fisher.

Some break for the wallets over the next few months :)

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Microsoft definitely needs something to combat Sony's 08 lineup. With games like LittleBigPlanet, MGS4, and White Knight Story, just to name a few, Microsoft better come out swinging. (Where the hell is Alan Wake!)

I hear a ps3 port to be released, this usually happens when games are delayed, assasins creed, and unreal are two examples.
