@libellule: You obviously have no clue about anything. Most analysts were predicting last year that the Wii fad would die come this year. You believe that devs don't trust analysts? They even pay them gross amounts of money to get an overall analysis of what's happening. Obviously when they asked themselves if making games for the Wii was worthy, their analysts said the exact opposite thing. The truth is that those analysts failed really badly, and the Wii is simply destroying the competition.

You say there's a lack of third party support, yea there is. But because devs got caught unaware. Wii would be in heaven right now if it had received the amount of good games the HD consoles received, but unluckily that was not the case. Wii only got the afterthoughts and scraps at the beginning of this gen and that's where the myth of "third party games don't sell on the Wii" comes from. I believe a huge portion of the core audience simply moved to the HD's because of the lack of good 3rd party support, but they will be coming back once the games start arriving as soon as early next year.

As of late Japanese devs started shifting their attention towards the Wii and this year a lot of 3rd party announcements were made in comparison to the HD's. Still there will always be some stubborn companies like SE, Konami and Capcom I understand that. There's a very good list made by Onimusha with the upcoming Wii games, with tons of good ones coming out.

You need to understand the market before going out and saying the Wii is a crappy kiddy casual console and that "The empire" is going to get all the games. Just think about it, devs were caught unaware. If they have had the crystal ball, Wii would be flooded by good third party games.

 You are right, some games can be made in under a year. And hundreds of those kinds of games have been made for the wii since E32007; the wii-haters tend to refer to them as shovelware. (there are now more games released+announced on the wii than either of the other two systems)

Nintendo doesn't need to push devs, they are already coming to the Wii. As for third party support for the HD's you may as well call the PS3 a 360, or call the 360 a PS3, since the word exclusive is forbidden.

Wii will remain the casual console forever, that's true. But that doesn't mean that next year games will not start to come. In the worst of the cases Wii will get the most support only from Japan, but it will be a monopoly. Re-read my previous post, I explained why Wii didn't get good 3rd party support so far this gen, yet you insist that it will remain like that forever. Very sad.

Also, you are making your own claims. How can you say that mines aren't true, when you "predictions" aren't more than your own claims. Hypocrisy at its best. Very sad x 2.

It's fair to criticize if you dont do what you're criticising. But please tell me, how are AAA games supposed to be made in under a year (beginning of 2008)?

Also, why couldn't third parties be making excellent games for the Wii? What about games like The Conduit, Madworld, GH:WT, Rock Band 2, NMH 1 and 2, etc? The Wii is much cheaper to develop and includes a new GAMEPLAY technology that devs could be exploring + exploiting. How is it that people forget that games are not only graphics and sound?

He is maybe right, some title screens are really busy like Half life 2 title screens (they show some events) and are maybe using HD graphics even in the title screen. I doubt it's only "Resident Evil 5 - Press start".

The jackass part is him mentioning the Wii just to cover up the fact that RE 5 looks exactly like how RE4 plays. He shouldn't have to attack anything to state a good argument that RE5 is better than RE4 in many ways, him having to clearly shows he can't come up with a good argument.

That is what I believe Ninty is not pusing enought like if they dont care about what third party devs are doing for their console.
