Ok is it just me who noticed this or is it just me who is imagining this?
The article has quotes from SCEA, one of the quotes is ...
"continued to exhibit solid growth evidenced by a 21 percent increase in total retail dollars generated year-over-year in North America with total sales of $393 million."
Now it seems to me that the writer is assuming this translates to a direct 21% "increase" for PS3 console sales. But in fact it could be any number of SCEA products, right? I only mention it because several people have brought up this 21% number and have been basing things off of it....
Edit: PS - Reading the article again, they added this ....
"[Correction: we mistakenly wrote that the 21 percent brought the number to 119K, but the 98.5K actually includes the 21 percent bump.]."
They seem pretty sure its console sales growth directly, but the entire article seems to be about a few quotes from SCEA...so I am not sure what the hell to think.
