I have played the demo and loved it, and it got incredible critical acclaim, but a few of my friends with the 360 version hated it.

  1. I loved it, one of my favorite games of 2007.
  2. About 15 hours I think, it's been a while since I thought about it.
  3. I started to but it really wasn't worth it to play through a second time.  I just searched youTube to see the second ending.

1. Solid for the first 8 hours, the last couple levels and ending are a bit of a letdown in comparison to the overall game quality up until this point.

5. Yes, but it's very very short as I recall.

My advice would be to wait until after Christmas, given the extremely poor first 2 days sales in Europe and how it will probably be clobbered this week it should be a very inexpensive pickup once retailers start heavily discounting it.
