Forums - Nintendo - New Forever Blue Video: At Least Three Gamecube's Worth of Graphics

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/23/todays-saltiest-video-forever-blue/

The Wii undersea exploration non-game, Forever Blue, sure looks pretty in this trailer. (We have to imagine how the graphics will look outside of a web browser, but we'd swear this game takes at least three Gamecubes taped together.)

And this is coming from the site that recently said Metroid Prime 3 looked identical to Metroid Prime 2.

Thank Ben for the vid.

Gameplay footage

I still don't get it.

@ thread title:

Which would make perfect sense, seeing that a DVD is roughly 3x the size of a GCN disk!

Wow. That really does look nice. I wonder what the point of the game is, or is it just something you do to relax at night, you know, swim around, look at fish.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Finally. Thanks DonWii.

From what I have read, it is all about relaxation, except that you have to waggle swim, which defeats the purpose. J/K

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I love relaxation games, there's not many of them, but I can tell this game will pull me in.

As a marine bio major, science teacher, and nature video addict, I'll be sure to grab this. I'm sure i can spend hours just sightseeing, but I really hope there is some sort of gameplay element (ie -interact with the environment in some way)

For the music, is just like Excite Truck, you can listen to your own mp3's on an SD card :P

As for the graphics, nobody right now knows advanced information of the GPU of the Wii (pixel pipelines, shaders, rasters, etc.), so automatically nobody knows what the Wii is capable of :P

And yeah I will get this game when it's released

Off-topic: At time of its launch, Microsoft said on its official page that the 360 was 4 times more powerful than the original Xbox :D

Possibly, but the title "Forever Blue/Endless Ocean" pretty much speaks for itself. However, I still don't quite understand this game. Whats worst is that the game is releasing in the next month or so in Japan. While the site may be up, it is greek to me.
