2009 is gonna be PS3's year,after the launch of the 160gb and slim PS3 with price reduction and some most awaited exclusives and more games and HOME.PS3 second this gen behind WII and ahead of X360 if you see,X360 launched an year before WII and PS3.If you go by that then the sales figures are as follows:

WII :33.4m   (NOV 2006-OCT 2008) 23 Months

PS3 : 15.90m (NOV 2006-OCT 2008) 23 Months

X360 : 13.8m (NOV 2005-NOV 2007) 24 Months

X360 : 21.4 (NOV 2005-OCT 2008) 35 Months

PS3's peak will be around 2009 end and 2010.Till that period,it would have launched the slim PS3 and the best tittles out there and price reduction would have happened because they are currently producing a new 45mm Cell Processor.It would level Xbox and just pass Xbox 360 by 2009 end and would be near WII BY 2010.After that everybody knows what happens from the PS2 and PS1 gem.X360 and WII will start to die.The reason everybody buys WII is that it is so cheap,but not everybody who owns it plays it,75 percent of WII's sold are just lying around and not being used.In X360's case,it is just selling in America the most.Its sales are decreasing month by month as the PS3 BECOMES cheaper.Everybody knows that PS3  is more supreme than X360 hardware wise.Once the PS3 edges out X360 in sales and as it becomes cheaper more and more developers will start to put more attention on PS3 and will make more exclusives for PS3.Nowadays most of the developers that take out games for X360 and PS3,DEVELOP THE game first for 360 and then they put it on blu-ray for PS3 because a 360's game aren't that big and can be put on a blu-ray disc but a PS3 game which is bigger can't be put on an hd-dvd.GTA 4 was first an exclusive for PS3 but later MS paid them money to bring the game on X360.That's why GTA 4 was just around 6gbs,earlier when it was PS3 exclusive it was as big as 34gbs and very lengthy game as SAN ANDREAS but was later cut to fit on X360.Xbox 360 gonna lose to PS3 as HD-DVD lost to BLU-RAY.
