my 360 Driver fail last week and i purchased a new DVD-Rom From Amazon .. i know how to install it but the problem is my DVD-rom is Benq/Samsung and the one i purchased is Toshiba/Samsung so i dont know if its will work or not ... anyone know anything about this ?

also why did i do this because i called microsoft in my country and they said they dont have support for fixing hardware here and told me if i want to fix it they will send it outside but its will cost me alot & its will take time ( more than a month !? ) .. so i decide to fix it myself.

I believe the Disk Drives are incompatible. You removed a Benq/Samsung Drive and are trying to put in a Toshiba/Samsung Drive.

Xbox scene I think if a good place to check on info... I don't see how there would be a problem there wasn't on the Xbox... I remember people putting in the newer 8X DVD rom in their old 5X boxes.

you could always buy a system at walmart and then replace it with your old system :p of course a simple check would show who the console was regestered to if you did that... I'm sure there are some modders out there who can fix you up...

I don't think they have Wal-Marts in UAE.

 Wall What !? .... also know that my 360 is not moded and i will not send it to any moders .. they will miss with it i know.
