-I hate the Sony controller
-The PS3 is expensive
-Almost every single game that interests me is available on the 360
-I already have a Wii and a 360
-I don't have an HDTV to best utilize the blu-ray capabilities
-no backwards compatibility anymore

Because Sony treated me, as a European customer, like shit.
Whenever i was thinking about buying a PS3, Sony screwed me.
We were the last to get the PS3.
We were the ones who had to pay the most for it (€600/$800).
We got a lousy 40GB without BC (and of course, we still paid the most: €400/$550).
We were the garbage dump for the Sixaxis.
We got laughable bundles (MGSIV with 40GB, no BC and a Sixaxis, compared to a US bundle 80GB, BC, Dual Shock 3 that was even cheaper).
As an RPG fan, the PS2 was heaven.
Two years after release, the PS3 has not a single JRPG. Maybe WKC in 2009. Oh, and FFv in 2011. Or 2012.
The Xbox has LO, BD IU, soon TLR, ToV, SO, plus Mass Effect and Fable 2.
I did didn't, and still would wouldn't because of the price.
I care little for Blu Ray. Why oh why did Sony insist on including this trojan horse? It constitutes the reason for the ongoing price differential, and undoubtedly, a crucial factor in Playstation's fall from grace as the most succesful brand in console gaming.
