I loved the game - probably the first one I actually finished - thought the dream sequence was trivial.

I think the movie will do well and should make $20 mil. in NA.

I'll be at the theater tomorrow - first showing.

I don't mind the PG-13 rating - it should attract a lot of people.

It looks poorly made based on the trailer. I won't be seeing it unless reviews are glowing. Plus we all know there's only one true action hero this year and his name is Jean Claude Van Damme.

I think it's funny how the trailer is so incredibly violent and dark, only to say PG13 at the last moment. Up until that moment, it could have been good. But this one is clearly neutered.

direction was good, mark was good, very stylish.

I guess i was the only one to watch this movie thus far.
I was looking forward to the dream sequence (nightmare) - the part of the game that gave me most trouble. It didn't happen in the movie.
there are couple of scenes that I remember from the game but the movie was not as good as the game.
mark did a decent job.
There will not be a sequel. The second max payne game was not very good.
The movie will make about $15 mil. this weekend and will disappear fast - imo.

Looks like any other soulless movie spat out of the ol' blockbuster movie factory...just with a video game title slapped on it. Somehow, I think I'll pass.
