I'd like to see a comparison of Megaman 9 sales (preferably worldwide, because Japan loves their Rockman too) across the Wii, PS3 and 360.  We have the estimates of Live and Wiiware sales, but do we have any information on PSN sales?

I'm also anecdotally interested in seeing if people went for that old two-button feel on the Wii, bought the 360 version for achievments, or bought it on the PS3 and/or supported it for some other reason.

If I have the time I'll look up the total downloads for the 360 and Wii versions (is there a way to search only the news feeds with a site search?).  Until then, do you guys have any stories about which version you purchased and why?  

I haven't gotten it yet, but I'm pretty sure im going to buy it for my Wii.  and I'm from the states.

I have no answers for you other than that I bought it on Wii (which has 'achievements' as does the PS3 rev) because it was available there first and, to a much lesser degree, because the graphics are just a bit more 'true' than on the HD boxes.

We have no way of knowing how much it's sold on the ps3. I'll probably buy it on the 360 though.

Had the demo on PS3 then bought for the Wii, I liked the 2 controls but got to get used to the button config of the wiimote first, I love the game and would like to know how much it has sold!

Well, I bought it on PS3 for the simple reason that that is the console that I own.

Anyway, there is no way to find out the total number of downloads, but it should be possible to find ratios by comparing the number of players on the same leaderboard of each version. I think leaderboards are split by region though, so you'll need the leaderboards from each region. I'll post the PSN Asian region ones later, for some reason my TV isn't working right now.

If I had to guess, the Wii probably outsold both and by a big margin. I figure this becasue it has the biggest userbase and also because old school Megaman was a big part of the NES. So I feel that many of the old school NES fans have made their way back or stayed all along with Nintendo.

I think the PS3 version did second best despite being #3 in console sales, still far behind the Xbox 360 because the PS brand has also been around now for quite a while and if old school Nintendo fans moved on to another console years back, it was the PS.

And Xbox 360 probably did the least because they're the newer brand and I think they might have more younger gamers, under the age of 25 and even who might not be as familiar or care as much about Megaman. I'm not saying that's the case with everyone so no need for anecdotal evidence.
