I love how Sony execs constantly contradict each other. One says Nintendo systems currently aren't a rival, the other says that they are. One insists the Wii and DS are for kids only, the other admits that they're legitimate, serious threats.

You're entitled to your own goofy opinions, Sony, but come on. At least get your stories straight with each other.

i feel better for sony at the moment since the dollar has been rising in value and the yen has been falling, sony is making more money.
They know what they are doing, and they are not going to throw away the VG market.
Sony has always simply ushered in new IP's, held their hands for a while, and then watched those go multiplat once the popularity starts to wane. It is no different for them then as it is now.
It is only that there are now a greater amount of fans now who have been heavily exposed to those big winners such as FF, (ps2 owners) and it seems like sony doesn't care about their ips anymore.
On the contrary, it has been that way since the beginning.

i thik he was mainly talking about games, price cut is in 2009 now, right now its not needed.

take LBP for example theres no nintendo title that is able to match its brilliance

i predict sony will start issuing a fresh new range of casual in house titles that appeal more to a younger demografic

its just the wii is in a "buzz light year" mode, its a desirable toy to buy for your children same with the ds, as long as nintendo sell a wii, with mario kart a few dogs games and carnival party to the same wii buyer, ninty are very happy, i seriously doubt ninty will change thier gaming approach to bring it more in line with what ps360 are offering.

2009 will be very interesting to see who brings out the best games, so far end of 2008 will have sony bringing the best games
