Irrelevant, irrelevant, irrelevant, and irrelevant. Again I say this isn't a rumor. This is getting blown way out of proportion though. This isn't "MGS4 coming to the 360!!!!!11111." This is "a credible company heard Konami executives mention they are looking at how feesible a 360 port of MGS4 might be." There is a huge difference between the two.

just google it, type MGS4 on 360 and u will get endless results from evey month of 2008 and 2007 lol

The game would essentially have to be completely redesigned, compressed, and even some parts of the game such as Metal Gear Online and the comment about blu-ray would need to be removed for it to be released on DVD. Naturally, all of this takes time, money, and resources and of course this would all have to be done without the help or approval of Hideo Kojima since he and much of his team will be busy working on new projects. Furthermore, probably at least 80% of the demographic that would purchase Metal Gear Solid 4 have already done so on the PS3 and of the remaining 20% that haven't, a good deal probably wouldn't settle for a gimped 360 version.

 

 very good analysis, but mgs4 on the 360 would still make money so it may be a risk worth taking.

Exactly. This is a rumor of MGS4 coming to the 360. Still a rumor.

I honestly feel they should put mgs4 on the 360 I know what you're thinking quite a bold statement made by the Sony leader, but hear me out!!

First of all I would totally understand if Konami decided to put Mgs4 on the 360 it would make great financial sense to put it on the Xbox 360, and with many japanese games having gone multiplatform you can understand the reason why Konami has gone down this route e.g Tekken 6. Mgs4 on the Xbox 360 would sell very well no doubt about it, with most of the sales coming from America as the Xbox 360 has such strong presence there.

Another reason why they should put mgs4 on the Sbox 360 is simply because its one of the greatest games i have ever played and that is saying much as i have never played any previous mgs games, however this game ranks second in my all time greatest games list behind Megaman2 lol. 

Kojima productions has really outdid themselves on this game, the graphics are amazing, the gameplay is flawless and the story is amazing.  I want other people to enjoy the spectacle of a game that is mgs4. and by putting it on the Xbox 360 it will only expands its audience. This game is simply amazing and every xbox 360 owner who has not played it yet should be giving the opportunity to play ' one of the greatest games ever made'.

I must respect Konami for keeping the mgs4 ps3 exclusive and not releasing the game simultaneously this really helped the ps3 in hardware sales, momentum and a much needed killer exclusive.  And for that reason if Mgs4 makes it way on the Xbox 360 i would be good thing for Konami and Xbox 360 owners, and I would be happy for both of them.

Finally I hope it possible that they can do the game justice on the Xbox 360 however Hideo Kojima said "a port was likely impossible due to the game being optimized for the PS3 hardware, specifically Blu-ray discs"

I just wonder will the space isseus with the dvd format hamper the Xbox 360 version, either way im pretty sure they will do a great port but it will likely come on two discs.

MGS4 has sold 3.3 Million copies worldwide already. By my math that's 82.5% of MGS3's "lifetime" sales in four months. Hideo Kojima isn't hurting for more sales right now. After MGS2 Substance got released on Xbox, Hideo created Kojima Productions and took control of Metal Gear Solid. That's why there is no Xbox version of MGS3, and why I doubt there ever will be an Xbox360 version of MGS4.

Do we really need Gears of war, gears of war is a two year old game time to move on son!!

 

 

There is always the chance of it being on the PS3. Microsoft doesnt own the rights to the GeoW franchise. Epic Games does.

So would be MGS 4 @ 360.

 First off, no Kojima does not hate the 360 as he is actually looking to make a 360 game. Secondly, no it does not come down to him as he does not own the rights to the game. It comes down to the Konami executives who greenlight projects.
