The 360 could very well have a much better holiday then the PS3....it wouldnt surprise me considering the last few weeks and comparative prices

I am expecting theses kind of numbers

X360_25-26 mil
PS3_23-24 mil
Wii_ I couldnt give a toss but i am expecting it to sell like 41 mil

i doubt it, 360 biggest market is US.. a market its 3 million away from saturation.

but i think they will be pretty close this year worlwide
both selling around 4.5-6 million this year.

 

PS3: 22 million (passes Gamecube, third place console last generation)
360: 26 million (passes Xbox1, second place console last generation)
Wii: 46 million (does not pass PS2, first place console last generation)

 

bod first time i agree with you but i don't think the wii failed just its selling to other consumers.

I shall repeat... IF the OP did in fact mean the end of January for some reason:

Wii: 46.5 - 47 million
X360: 26 - 26.5 million
PS3: 21.5 - 22 million

And as Rol and Cord have said... there are some low expectations here.... for the end of January no one should be predicting fewer than 45 million for Wii, or if they meant end of December then no fewer than 43 million.

Prediction 1:

A) Superr Mario Galaxy will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl this holiday season. Mark my words (although I said this for last half of 08 too, and that's not happening). Both will end at above 8.5M by the end of January 2009.

B) One of them will be ahead of Halo 3, and the other one behind.

Prediction 2:

A) Mario Kart Wii will outsell Wii Fit for the last 2 months of the year (November and December).

B) By the end of January, Wii Fit will be above 13M. Mario Kart Wii will be 12M or more.

I think this right here is a little conservative. Sales of Smash relative to the Wii are at about 1 in 5 right now. I think that ratio will hold steady come this holiday, and even the people who don't have it right now might get a copy. With the Wii possibly selling 10 million from now until the end of January 2009, that is 2 million copies of Smash Brawl sold right there. It is the game's first holiday season here after all.

i think everyone and even sony are going to be surprised at how the ps3 does this holiday! i think ps3 will end the year past 20 million. 360 just under or just over 25 million and wii.... its gonna sell the most no matter what.
