Possibility of having to pay to play D3, rearing its head?

A better link on that, but that goes for the entire Bnet 2.0.

Inventory:

You now need a basic requirement of skill pointsin the tree to grab skills, and the inventory looks like it was ripped straight out of WoW.
I'm still scrounging up information, but non of this is making me happy. They are taking away customization (stat assigning) and I don't see why anyone would ever bother with guilds and stuff if you can only stick 4 people in a game.... The B.net bit is the most disturbing though, paying would definetly be a deal breaker for many people. All in all, they are removing/altering major features to the Diablo games that I had always deemed made their games actually stand over everyone else's.
The rune system on the other hand looks AWESOME, but I don't want to be spending points on low level skills at all, just 1 i fa pre-req. for a later skill. I also really like the ideas behind the stand-ins for potions, but I still want my belt with potions nontheless....
This has to be the worst convention I have seen for any one company. First SC2 and now some of these changes to Diablo III. It just makes me wonder if the merger with Activision had anything to do with this or not (I'd much rather blame some one other than Blizzard).
