I am a game fanboy.

I rise to the challange of hordes of mindless enemies with realistic or fantasy guns pointed at me.

I make the impossible plays in football, not once. Many times.

I scream and yell into my mircophone, making my neighbors wonder.

I see someone playing a PSP, or a DS on a bus and smile. Knowing the market is strong.

I believe every company and every developer has given something to us important, something unique, something we share.

I salute my fellow gamers, for they are my brothers in battle, the rival empire, the fastest driver, and the legendary hero of some land.

I am a gamer first.

If we were in a perfect world everyone would be like this. But who doesnt like to take sides. Ford vs Holden(or GM) or Coke vs Pepsi. Its no different. It makes life more interesting.

True I will play any good game on any system. If I currently had the means to own every console, handheld, and a high priced PC rig I would.

I'm a 360 fanboy, but not by choice (entirely), more in reaction to the overwhelming amount of hatred coming from Nintendo and Sony fans here.

But I will play any game on any platform if it is quality (I've owned all 5 flagship consoles out at the moment at some point in my life).

My favourite game this generation is multiplatform (CoD4).

Seriously though, fanboyism for one console is stupid. Why limit yourself to one console? It's only bad for yourself. While other people don't really give a damn about what they play, if you're a fanboy you miss out. So I don't see the point. Just enjoy them all on any console.

I picked game fanboy because I am a fanboy towards the gaming media over other medias. Its kinda wierd, I'll always play a game before watching a movie adaptation of it, or a book adaptation. Its not aggressive fanboyism, more passive and a preference of being within the story rather than a narrator or a observer of the story.

The ironic part is that my opinion of gaming is somewhat hurting the industry, if everyone was like myself with no real preference between the 3 companies, and competition stopped entirely. We'll be looking at nothing but power wars for the next who knows how long. Its our competition that keeps our industry fresh and exciting.
