Forums - Nintendo - What do you think will Wii Fit price.

I think that it will retail at $59.99, Nintendo has been pretty fair in the US with pricing (Wii Sports Pack in, WiiPlay Pack in at $10 more than just the Wiimote)

Japan is going to have to pay more though, Nintendo has the Japanese public on a leash it seems. I think it's 5200 yen for Wii Sports (correct me if I am wrong).

Europe will have a price like the American one but exchange will make it unfairly high as usual. 60 euros, 50 pounds.

Also, in the US I wouldn't be surprised if before Holiday '08 we saw a Wii Console, Wii Fit and Wii Sports package in the US.  Not to drive sales up but to drive up perceived value at $250 and maintain sales with out a price drop.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

it's 69.99 according to gamestop/ebgames.

Currently loving my Wii x2, Xbox 360 Pro & Xbox 360 Arcade, and Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children Limited "Cloud Black" 160GB PS3

i'd be happy to pay $79.99 for it... $59.99 would be an absolute bargain. so i'm gonna guess $89.99. as long as it's under $100 i think the intended audience would have no problem with it. and since $99.99 really is over $100 with tax, $89.99 would be the sweet spot, like those Guitar hero games.

including the Wii Fit game, of course.

the Wii is an epidemic.

oh $69.99? sweet. that's true, at that price i won't feel pinched if i get two of them. does seem like if i pay $89.99 each for 2 of them i'm paying too much.

the Wii is an epidemic.

also, sorry for the horrible typing in the title.

I don't think Nintendo would offer the board as a pack-in at the current retail price - they'd probably lose money at 250USD and that's just not the way they do business.

Nintendo also has history against them: No aftermarket peripheral has ever gained mass popularity for a console, as far as I am aware of. That's not to say that Nintendo can't pull it off, but somehow offering the board as a peripheral only will not be enough to push the volume that Nintendo would like.

What I can see, however, is Nintendo marketing two SKUs: The current one with Wii Sports, and another Wii Fitness bundle that includes the board and the pack-in game. It then becomes Nintendo's Trojan horse, entering health-conscious households worldwide. Once the board hits critical mass alternative games will start appearing.

$40-$50 for the board, and $20-$30 for a game that's in between Wii Play and a full game.

 Seems fair to me.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

$59.99. The game won't be worth more the $20 on its own, so the board will be $40, like a Wiimote.
