Hey guys, I've been reading this site's forums for a while now and finally decided to make an account to post and figured that this would be a good way to start things off. I couldn't find anything on this in the forums so here it is.

"TOKYO--Today, after ending a live demonstration of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots at the PlayStation Premiere 2007 event, legendary game producer Hideo Kojima revealed two new projects.
First, Kojima expressed satisfaction with the online mode included in the well-received Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. It turns out that Subsistence's online functionality was such a success that Kojima's team is apparently working on a successor. While he didn't elaborate, the famed designer did confirm that a similar Metal Gear Solid online game is in development for the PS3. He did say that details on the upcoming game will be unveiled during Metal Gear's 20th anniversary party next week, with real-time demonstrations.
Kojima then closed his presentation with a trailer for Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus, an expansion to the well-received PlayStation Portable game Portable Ops. The add-on will feature new characters, numerous missions, new gameplay and modes, tutorials for beginners, and a new single-player mode. The trailer also hinted that there are some other additions that are being kept secret for the time being.
Portable Ops Plus is slated for release in Japan on September 20, the same date as the new, video-out PSP. The game will be available in two versions: an à la carte version with just the expansion for 2,400 yen ($20), and a deluxe package that includes the original Portable Ops for 4,300 yen ($35). No North American or European release information has been made available."
