Nice nice. Both this and Valhalla Knights game.

I like how everyone thinks that Cloud has the patent on the giant sword.

He wasn't the first character to have a huge sword, Berserk came out in 1988 or something. That's the earliest thing I can think of, but I'm sure there was probably something before that.

Just cause you were 10 and had an orgasm playing FF7 doesn't mean he is the god of all RPG's or giant sword weilder. And ha at all your other points, isn't that the basis of all RPG's

Trailer's nice. Hopefully somebody translates it soon. I want to know more about the story. Oh and judging from the trailer it looks like you could move on the battle screen? That means that attacks are turnbased and use menus, but you could still dodge the attacks of your enemy, or move to a spot that will be better to attack at? Anyway the game looks great and is my second most anticipated wii game.

That's the first impression I got.

But I don't know, it's weird. That first battle scene of the beach makes it look like you might have free movement like in Tales (but on a 3D plane), and in other's it looks like your standard turnbased-fare.

Edit: This might explain some things.

- no random battles
- enemies appear on-screen
- choose which enemies you want to fight
- if you flee a fight but get caught, you’ll start the next fight with less AP
- battle freezes to allow you to distribute AP between party
- focus on one player for combo attacks, split AP for varied attacks
- turn order appears on-screen
- elemental shields

I love the way Arc Rise Fantasia is turning out. The game looks really good so far.

Gameplay? What gameplay? Looks like your standard press-X-to-attack JRPG to me. And it doesn't help that the character design and Generic Dragon Thing look like they've been done a few hundred times before.

Ah, well; at least this will help to shut up the "no hardcore games on Wii" whiners.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

For all of you the main Artist of the game was from Eruka 7 no I don't feel like spelling it right...

Former something....

@Garcian
That gameplay is called turn-based, which is awesome.

I don't really like the visual style/art direction in this at all, their anime portaits are great but the modles and CG are really creppy, just stick with the anime design why mix three art styles together??
:/
