As long as there's less talking than in Sunshine I don't care who the princess turns out to be.

Well, I was thinking maybe this game should have a better story than Sunshine, and maybe more talking. But if it's near Sunshine, I'll be okay with just that.

And for the others who say the story just takes time away...I disagree. The story is a motivation to end the game. I know it's Mario, but even Mario has a reason to do things. What if the developers throw you at a random galaxy and tell you "Collect 120 stars to end the game and beat Bowser!"? Would you be fine with that? I'd feel uncomfortable, myself.

And the appearance of this girl, may actually somehow enhance the storyline.

I know who it is! The princess from Sonic Next just dyed her hair, and is trying to get in a decent platforming game.

Plus if she kisses an unconscious Mario, it won't be as disturbing.

The character name is indeed Rosetta further nothing much known. I think she's some kind of messenger or something...

Yeah.  Daisy is Luigi's girl.  The movie had Luigi and Daisy getting together.  And in Mario Party 5, when you pair Luigi and Daisy, they are called the Steady Sweeties

Edit: My wife and I think it's fitting for us.  Since I mainly use Luigi in any Mario games, and she mainly uses Daisy.
