If 360 does drop back then if I was Sony I'd seriously consider a very modest price cut before holidays in Others. The way its holding steady even a modest drop would likely generate a sustained increase in average weekly sales, which tied to new games and holiday season should drive strong sales.

Why would it work better for ps3? because there is more demand. Demand = interest.

so more people are in interested in the ps3.

 If you dont understand the difference between artificial demand and intrest demand I feel sorry for you. Artificial demand would be creating demand from a price cut... artificial demand usually isnt the same and quickly dies down. stop trying to play damage controll here.

No surprises at all for me, it'll be the same next week with a stable Wii and DS, lower 360 sales (around 65k) and PS3 slightly above (68k).
Japan will be a virtual tie this week I think and next week the PS3 will be in front again there as well.
NA will be 360 territory (after Wii of course) though and will stay that way for many months I suppose.

==> because when something is VEYR expensive such as the PS3, people are very interested into a price cut compared to a more affordable product like the xbx360.

also, be sure, that when PS3 will hit 300 euros in PAL, xbox360 will really SUFFER.
