So do you think we've met the lofty goals of the KZ2 E305 trailer yet?

I think some parts of the game has exceeded the E3 trailer(lightining and surface texture) and some parts like face motion is not quite as smooth,,,,but overall I would say yes

PS:  This thread hasn't been made a thousand time since we have games that are actually compairable on both platforms now.  It's my fault... the embed didn't work right I linked the youtube videos.

so let me re-answer your question:

I think both Gears 2 and R2 look great but none of them come close to E3 05 KZ2 trailer.

KZ2 itself on other hand has come close to it .It has exceeded the trailer in some parts like surface texture and lightning and hit response but it has fell short in some areas like smooth face animations

its looks better than 2005 trailer in some things.

The animation is not on the same level and the textures are kind of grey unlike the E305 trailer so untill we see some light I'll hold off, but they do have many techniques in there that the trailer didn't have because it was a fake.  What worries me most is that these guys have only been able to put out one really good game and that was on the PSP.  Where as we all know R2 and Gears 2 are going to kick ass.

yea but don't forget that gurrial was bought by sony 2 years ago and now they have access to lots of first party techniques and tools for game developing ,,,so most probably the game will not suffer technically like first KZ ,,,casue back then gurrila was just a third party developer(now they are first party)

they already mentioned that they got lots of help from many sony studios(santa monica studio(god of war) , insomniac and london studios)

P.S. off course gears 2 and R2 will be awesome(casue they are kind proven games)but that doesn't mean gurrilla cannot up those 2.(not saying gurilla WILL though)

Wow. I haven't seen the E305 trailer in quite a while...it seems so boring now. The new trailers make the game seem so much more livelier. The new trailers are a lot better.

Haha that was impressive until Crysis showed us how unimpressive it was haha. Haha I wonder what unrepresentative CG of Crysis would have looked like haha.

The quality of the videos are so craptastic, please don't use them people. The less lossy = better, you can actually tell the difference without the compression turning the video into a blended wishy washy mess.
