Yes it's an option, not required, not a whole lot of use in the coming up Conduit game but will be more functional in The Conduit 2.

The conduit supports it, but does not require it. I suppose if you want to compete in online multiplayer you'll be at a disadvantage without it

But anyway, it'll be sold at cost and will be freakin sweet - just buy one
