Call me sceptical, but a person who's sig clearly shows he's a PS3 fan, and a video games collection of nothing but PS games, why would he continue to stick with the competitions product if it has broken on him so many times.

Congratulations, you went from being just a fan to being a fanboy. WELCOME!

 wow. EPIC PHAIL

He posted a link to a Kotaku article.....he's not the one who lost 10 360's....

He need to put it in quote.  This post make it seems like it his post.  That's what I thought at first also until I saw the link and his sig and figure he is just another Sony troll in Microsoft discussion forum.

Learn you lesson buy Ps3 or wii instead.

Falcons don't even come close to that high of a fail rate, plus this guy pretty much abuses his consoles.

If yours breaks, big deal. Why? 3 year RROD warranty and it takes them a whopping week to send back to you. Go play your PS2 or something.

It's just that simple.

That's right, after a particularly good run I've had another Xbox 360 die on me. This time a debug unit.

While the instances of Xbox 360 red rings have certainly dropped, I do still hear stories about the console's DVD player giving up the ghost. That's what happened to me in July last year when my last 360 died and that seems to be the case this time around. I was playing the end of LEGO Batman The Videogame when the game paused and a "dirty disc" error popped up on the screen. A few more runs at playing the game allowed me to get a few minutes in before the console crapped out on me again.

Just last month my brother had his Xbox 360's DVD drive die on him as well. He recently went out and purchased a replacement Xbox 360 Arcade.

For those keeping track I've now had a total of ten Xbox 360s die on me since the launch of the console. (That's counting debug units and retail consoles). Of those eight died with a Red Ring error and two died with perpetual dirty disc errors.

Microsoft sends people refurbished machines as replacements. I had customers have refurbished machines arrive broken out of the box. If they just bit the bullet and sent new machines we probably wouldn't hear these kinds of stories. They bring back awful memories of working for 360 tech support.
