I wonder how different that list would be if all the drugs were illegal or all the drugs were legal. I think when alcohol was illegal it was killing more than anything else. In fact, right now, it's still killing more than anything else due to drunk driving. And I think cigarettes are 2nd. If we had legal clean drugs, I wonder how much this list would shuffle around.
Isn't methadone actually more addictive than heroin, and have a more painful withdrawal? They sure fucked that one up.
