Forums - Nintendo - Marvelous to announce a new title at TGS from a "world famous" Japanese dev

Since Matsuno left Square, I'm going to assume he has more freedom now :P

Yeah, he is the other big contender.  There aren't really many other freelance ones though... and Matsuno... I think he'd command a larger budget then Marvelous could provide... unless he was making a handheld game.

I'd expect he'd want a bigger budget anyway, after getting used to the Square treatment.

I mean correct me if i'm wrong... but there biggest games are the Harvest Moon games right?  Which themselves couldn't be that expensive.

Even if that's the case I don't really see many games hyped for them.

Right, by that logic no one cares about any of the handheld KH games and DQ9.

I'd think he also has more development space. With Square he was kinda in shackles...with Marvelous I doubt it.

That's true.  He was basically making "Dumbed down" Ogre storyline games for mass appeal.

He didn't even finish FF12 but the Ogre influence is HUGE there.

It's Suda :O

Marvelous Entertainment will hold a press conference tomorrow at 03:30 PM in Japan for the first business day of Tokyo Game Show 2008. Many Wii games should be presented such as Valhalla Knights : Eldar Saga (not sure, we hope so), Arc Rise Fantasia and Oboro Muramasa Youtouden. But Marvelous Entertainment has also a little surprise for us, Goichi Suda aka Suda 51 (No More Heroes, Killer 7), who seems to be a very busy man (he and Shinji Mikami are also developing for Electronic Arts a new horror game scheduled for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 but also Wii!), will make a big announcement for Marvelous Entertainment! Stay tuned.

What do you think? Will it be the EA game or simply a new game made Suda alone. NMH2? New IP?
