Apparently the sales of the Blu-ray version are breaking records. With Dark Knight on the way, are these system sellers?

I think that they will sell those 200 dollar BR players... but not so many PS3s... I'm surprised though... we have 2 MGS4 PS3s and noone has bought them... I wish I had the money to pick one up.

Why would people buy PS3s just to watch these movies? There are a lot of blu-ray players out now that are cheaper than the PS3.

Anybody seen the blu-ray version of Iron man? How is it? Any good extras? Look good? I'm thinking about getting it, I'm a sucker for Robert Downey Junior.

Iron Man, and Dark Knight are awesome additions to the Blu-Ray line. System sellers.....probably not. I, myself am holding out for a sub $200 player before I make the jump.

Unless Sony drops the PS3 to $299 or something crazy like that.

That is the big question. This is basically the first big exclusive for the PS3 this fall. At the moment I don't see it having a very large effect. I would guess we will see a 5k increase in the US, but to be completely honest though it is impossible to tell. The thing that makes this seem little to me is that I think Blu-ray is still about a year away from being at the point were big movie releases push hardware. It is not to the point right now were people go to other peoples houses and say "Wow, you don't have a blu-ray player". That is the point when the mainstream really starts to get into a product. But as I said we just arn't to the point were peer pressure is telling everyone they need to keep up with the Jones'.
