How exactly was it a vile comment?  If I said "...my grandmother..." would that be a vile comment about old people?  I was simply claiming what it looked like, you personally taking it as an insult towards any group is on you and you alone.

You have proved my point that you don't understand what I am talking about. I am not saying the people did a horrible job at making the level, I am saying the end result looked terrible. They made admirable attempt with the tools they were given, but they were highly inadequate tools.

I think it is highly morally reprehensable to shelter people based upon catagorization. I grew up around 2 people with downsyndrome (2 siblings of a friend) and from my experience they are no less people than you or I. I find no reason to treat people as fragile. The point is that a kid with down syndrome would not make a very good Mario level, as they would lack the capacity to make a good one. I lack the physical capacity to play in the NFL, but saying so is not an insult to me.

Your perception is the only thing that turned my comment in to an insult, and I take exception to that. If you view people who have some limitation, physically, mentally, or otherwise, as "handle with care" packages then I pity you and any you hold sway over. But if that is indeed the truth, I am certainly not subject the the restrictions you place on what is and is not acceptable. I would rather see everyone treated with the same standards than have to worry about indignifying the likes of you. Every one equally has the right to have their strengths and limitations used in metaphore.

OT:  I am not saying that LBP's level editor is bad, ot that the game is bad, simply that they are poorly suited to make a Mario level, as you seem to agree with.

This makes you really appreciate the level design in the original SMB.

The first time I saw a custom made Little Big Planet lever, I felt despair. It looked soooooo boring to play. The first time I saw a Mario level in Little Big Planet I felt sure that the game would eventually suck. So I watched this level with a sense of dread. And yes. It seemed as boring as I imagined it would.

And then Skip shows me a Sonic level instead. And it completely restores all faith in the game that the mario levels destroyed...

Please people. STOP MAKING MARIO LEVELS! THEY LOOK SO ****** BORING! Sorry for screaming. I have been wanting to get that off my chest for a while.
