 I think this game will make a profit and the PS3 needs these kinds of RPGs with followings especially in Japan. Also, this is such a great game you can seriously waste over a hundred hours on each Disgaea game easy!

game looks good, but it isn't going to appeal to the west at all. Not sure why they don't just release this one on the PS2 though, seems like it would do better.

 You are true dear but that is Disgea the fans wants it this way.
They don't have a big fanbase so better not lose some with a big super next gen visual grahpics X D.

I guess they prefer they make it with this graphics 1) it is Disgea's style and 2) For the money the fans prefer this graphics;

I'm not sure why they didn't release it on the PS2 either, considering from those images it's graphics are well within the PS2's capabilities.  It's nice to see Disgaea's graphics finally move from PSone level to PS2 level, too bad we had to wait for the PS3 for that to happen.

 Hmm this is really bullshit the game is made with a low budget so I am sure they make profit with it.

Honestly...HOW?

Nippon Ichi games appeal to a very niche part of the RPG market. A market that's currently as non-existent on the PS3 as the rest of the userbase. I don't really understand NIS's decision to hop on PS3 so soon (or at all). The people that tend to buy their games currently have no reason to own a PS3 before this comes out, and judging by the screens, it's not doing anything the PS2 couldn't already do. This seems to be the result of either blind loyalty or getting caught up in the next gen hype. Disgaea 3 is destined to rake in less than the already modest sales of its predecessors at this rate.

 It's good cause it will convince loyal fans to get a PS3 to play the game and it will sell to the PS3 owners because there aren't many Japanese RPG games yet.
