all I saw of this game up until now is dozens of cannon-fodder enemies ... not exactly what I'd call "horror"

well, hopefully they just focussed on the action-parts in their trailers, but have parts with real tenseness and horror included in the game

I had a feeling this game would be favourably scored by critics, the trailers so far have all looked amazing.

Still I'll wait for IGN to give their praise before making this a definite purchase.

I've been sitting on the fence on this game (too many games I already have reserved and not enough time to play them), but I get the distinct feeling I'm going to buy it anyway...

Waiting for IGN and a decent number of reviews for GameRanking and Metacritic scores. But am very interested in this game as is.

This will be this Christmas' small gem. Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2 will overshadow it though. :(

Why a sad face? You doubt that gears 2 and R2 will be better than this maybe? I don't see this being better so it should overshadow it in my opinion. 

Meh, I dunno, people keep saying Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2 is more of the same. Dead Space is something we've never seen before (especially the ''strategic dismemberment'' part). It also seems to be the next big horror series after Silent Hill and Fatal Frame, and it's going to be a welcomed addition in my opinion (because Resident Evil 5 isn't going in the good direction as far as I know).

The game looks great, I will have to play it with all the lights on...LOL!
