Forums - Nintendo - Pikmin remake to promote the 3rd game?

why not re-release it - many a gamercube owner even on these forums state they haven't played Pikmin yet, personally i'd have it bundled with the Wii as it's a fantastic easy to play yet difficult to complete enthralling game thats suitable for all ages and is seriously underplayed.

I'd release Pikmin 1 & 2 on one disk and do something special like if you buy this game you get some free wiii ware pikmin 3 demo, a packet of worms or somethying like that.

This franchise deserves to be huge

Yep.. I myself a Ninty Fan

havnt played a pikmin game before.. so i think its a good idea.
Only reason being it was really hard to find in New Zealand.

But it looks like a really neat game in which i cant wait to play.

feel free to add me whenever (just PM me to let me know)

Well, they're doing it cause it's an easy cash-in. Some ppl who already played it will want to play it again w motion controls. Also, it will give ppl who didn't have a GC, that are unwilling to play games w/o motion controls, an opportunity to check out a great game.

Yes, that's what I thought. But this indeed smashes my hopes of it being released early. We will have to wait until late 09 to see the game getting released. It wouldn't make any sense for them to release 3 before 1 and 2. And as far as we know Pikmin 1 is released this year but ONLY in Japan, with no mention of it here yet. As always NoA is ages late to the party.

I'd recall reading somewhere, that the remakes are confirmed to Europe. I may be wrong with this one, but that's what i recall.

And Nintendo did say, that they were planning to remake some GC games for Wii, right after Wii launch, so the reason why this seems to be getting so much hype, is because people seem to have extremely short memory.
