they need the price drop quick b4 its too late.

How about waiting a couple of weeks to see if the 360 price cut worked or not. No reason to predict the death of ps3 yet.

The thing is, TGS is just a week or two away so if they are planning to announce a price drop on TGS, they don't have enough time to see what happens.

I don't think that they need to necessarily, but I would like a LBP bundle and price drop.

Sony could do price cut in japan because PS3 sells there so abysmall. Few more thousand consoles (weekly) would not hurt Sony even if they lose more money from each console.

i dont think ps3 needs a price drop as such, its just 360 is having a boost because of the recent price drops.

once 360 price cut effect is over, it will be clearer as how many units per week 360 will do

I expect a holiday bundle, but no price cut this year. I do not think they can afford one.

The upcoming titles will generate the sales boost Sony is expecting.
So unfortunately I think we won't see a price cut.

I believe TGS is next week, which is kind of cool because that's when Fall Break is so I can follow events without worrying about classes, lol.
