Gamers before conference: Damn 3rd parties and their Wii ports and remakes.

Gamers after conference: Thank you Nintendo for the Wii ports and remakes.

Gotta love fickle gamers.

Were there a lot of ports/remakes?

Punch-out is a remake, but lots of stuff was new though, right?  Dynasty Warriors?  some other stuff?...

IDK, I really only care about MH3.

I'm referring to the new Play on Wii series which is porting over various GC titles to get the Wii treatment.

Gamers (this is all a generalization here, obviously) have ranted against 3rd parties for doing such, or porting form PS2, yet are praising the hell out of Nintendo for it (myself included by the way).

Its because Nintendo is doing the ports.

Oh...

Yeah, people are rather excited for that.

But can you blame them?  Pikmin and MP 1+2 with Wii controls would be win-full.

Hell no I don't blame them for being excited. I'm looking forward to 4 out of the 7 announced already and we know more are coming.

It just seemed a rather odd turn of heart regarding the nature of ports and remakes on Wii. Although it's apparent that Nintendo plans to do with the right way which has a lot to do with why it's received so much support.
