DS still keeping up the great sales, after being outsold by psp a lot recently.. nice.
PS3.. abysmal. :s

Nintendo Network ID: Cheebee   3DS Code: 2320 - 6113 - 9046

360 showing normal trends of a console falling, not of one in shortages. Right now its looking like it'll level off around 6k-8k if not 5k-7k. An advancement over the normal 2k-4k so it should be seen as a success. However its doubtful this will hold up after holidays 2008 when things go back to normal after that. More than likely won't hold past this year.

Rest of the market in its usual state. Wii has a decent amount of things going on in Japan before years end that should beef it up and holidays will be pretty big for it as usual. DS will eventually get back into its over 100k a week thing once DSi hits and PSP should beef back up after these lulls are done.

PS3 is a different story. In desperate need of anything over there whether a new model, big game, or pricedrop. Don't know if it can hold out til White Knight Story. But until something like that expect it only to go back up to at most 15k before holidays.

Why are these numbers boring? They're showing bigger changes than the Others ones.

The only reason these would be boring, is because they're small, and that shouldn't really be a shock now.

TGS can be it if sony has something good to show there

Just another week to wait, then, if XB360 don't decrease enough and PS3 ones don't grow enough, Sony will have to cut price, momentum is of the essence. Also, Sony should try to increase as much as possible Japan user base BEFORE FFXIII release, it's sure that bundles will be sold out anyway, so a bigger user base from start would increase FFXIII sales, making SE happier of the timed exclusive deal. And bigger numbers and greater positive feedback for its image would be the benefits for Sony. But maybe Sony plans to release PS3 Slim together with FFXIII, this would be an even more effective move.

Well of course but it needs more than a show to hype it up.  It needs something tangible on the market.  PS3 in Japan right now is yelling "throw me a fricking bone already".  I mean consumers are so mixed up the 360 is outselling it and I mean that in the nicest way possible haha.

PS3 just needs something heavily catered for the Japanese crowd to release in the upcoming months and if it can get that then it'll be fine going into the holidays.  Luckily White Knight Story is releasing on Christmas Day there and that'll help bigger sales within the holidays but I can't help but feel it'll need something in between now and then to help push sales up further.  This is an important holiday season in Japan considering you want to be on a pretty good level going into 2009 when a lot of big Japanese titles release.

Nice DS numbers, 360 and PS3 doing ok.

There weren't any Xbox 360 games in the top 50! Thats quite strange really...

Does anyone else think that its strange?
