It was rumoured a few days ago that PSP firmware 5.0 (Beta) is available for developers,now a video has been released

Major fw updates:

Direct access to the PlayStation Store
A new RSS reader
An integrated “snapshot” tool

It's not like sony is the only who can make firmwares for the psp but with the release of psp3000 I find that this might be true.

Great snapshot feature, great that we can browse and purchase from PSN store on the machine itself.

That being said what i really wish for in future firmware updates
*On the fly playlist creation for my mp3s
*more video format support
*better internet browser.
