Well, as far as I have seen, it is being advertised at stores as a price cut. IF it were marketed as a sale, I could see it selling more to those people, thinking it is not forever. The people I could see rushing for the $500 PS3 right now are those who want FULL BC on their PS2 games, or people who have been holding out on getting a BR player. And, of course, the people who do not know about the 80GB model coming later.

I think that once the 60gb model sells out, they will drop the 80gb to 500$, and then come out with a 120 or something for 600. Because the sales of the 60gb @ 500$ say more than anything else.

By saying that, you are implying that ALL that is coming is mini-game, which has been argued before, is not the case. If you feel like saying that those are the types of games, then you, and the most you refer to, fall under the category of games I LIKE, and the argument of when they are coming has already been made.

It is not worth it because the european version doesn't have the emotion engine. In the case of the american version, they had it in so they made this switch +20GB -emotion engine. Then it is worth it, at least for Sony.

Sony is not contradicting itself on this one.
