After reading more about this throughout the day I think I may be wrong about the widescreen.

You've got to be kidding me. Nintendo announced about 10 titles at the conference just from them alone. Endless Ocean 2, Punch Out Wii, Sin and Punishment 2, Cosmic Walker, The Zelda looking game starring the chick, The action-RPG with the motions for magic attacks, plus like five games that look like Wii-Ware titles.

 

Its hard for me to get hyped about any old game.......

I wanted a new Donkey Kong & Pilot wings from them.....why is it so illogical not to have one now. The wii is dominating....it can only help

Patience.  You don't want them rushing every title out the door at once, do you?    You'd get less than quality results and little IP's to look forward to in the latter years of the systems life cycle.

 

ofcourse not....but you know being a Ps3 fan....I am used to titles being hyped for like 10 years before their actual release.

So this is a bit weird!

 

That's actually a very good point.

 

Last year Nintendo changed corporate policy regarding new game info such that they only want a few months between announcement and actual release where as Sony tried to gain hype as early as possible whihc unfortunately means waiting several years for some games.

right now its a quick way to milk money of old games... lets hope the price its nothing over 20$

Not sure about the US but trying to buy Gamecube games in Australia is and has been virtually impossible for more than 3 years.  Gamecube absolutely died in the ass here and many stores stopped supporting the system long before Nintendo did, so i for one am happy about the chance to play Pikmin 2, for example, as long as the price is reasonable.

I heard the price for Pikmin is around $30.00
I hope the others are a little cheaper but I definitely plan on getting Prime 1 & 2 and both Pikmin's.
Nintendo is coming through in the clutch.
