Apologies if already posted.

I have not pre-ordered this game yet, I guess that is a good thing.

UPDATE:

Lesley Smith of Kotaku has passed an e-mail around from UK retailer Game regarding ever further cuts to the decreasingly collectible edition.

We have recently contacted you regarding a marketwide problem with the Fable II Collectors Edition. We have since been informed by Microsoft that there has been a further complication.

They have advised us that the developer diary and soundtrack are no longer going to be available on the bonus DVD.

So annoyed, I wanted the full edition but my mum would not let me

I just read it again.

NO MORE HOBBE FIGURINE?!!!

So the only real point to this version is the Spartan Armor, Energy Blade, Wreckager and some extra dungeon? Still nice, but the selling point for me was the figurine.

Any of these weapons even any good? I can't see them being good at all if we get to use them from the start.

You are indeed correct, but why does it say:
The promotion code you entered expired on 09/29/2008.
It should say that it's not valid yet, surely?

That was probably a kludge to simplify keeping people out ahead of time.  I hate kludges.

Wow that's suck big time ... no special box, no fate cards and no Hobbe figuring.

Why are they still bother calling this special edition..? So you essentially pre-paid $10.00 for DLC content.

I could never really understood Microsoft marketing. They got big releases but they always come up short when it come to promotion.

I dunno, I might get it. I didn't want the figureine but I do want that bonus DVD, so it'll be worth it to me. I think I'll stop by Gamecrazy and change my pre-order.

I wonder if this applies to Australia?

If they cut the content but not the price I will downgrade to regular.
