@jeny i have never eve heard of the games you just mentioned other than Gears of War 2, Bioshock(not an exclusive), and Banjo and Kazzoie( a copy of ratchet and clank) and fable 2

The PS3 doesn't need a price cut at all.

The 360 may have seen spikes, but they aren't going to last. Its Japan sales have nearly returned to normal, and its US sales saw a drop of 19,000 last week. They probably drop even further this week, and Euro sales will be back to normal in a few weeks as well.

The holiday season is coming up, so there's no reason for Sony to drop the price. All a price cut would do is cause them to lose untold millions of dollars for a very minimal gain. The best time for a price cut would be after in holidays in February or March when it would be more effective.

There is a funny things about the holidays, the stock flies off the shelves no matter what the price. Hell, even in the slow season in the middle of the summer, the mgs4 bundle sold well at $500. Since you can only sell as fast as you can produce, there is no reason to cut the price. They are looking at selling 2.8 million consoles for $400, or sell 3 million consoles at $350 and sell a few more games (and I just made those sales numbers up). Wait for the spring and the smaller cell and everything that comes with it and drop the price then. Hell they could probably make a bigger price drop for a bigger impact and lose less then than they are losing now.

Bioshock has been available for over a year for the 360 and is now at discount prices while the ps3 version is releasing at full price. I wouldn't use that game trying to build an argument about a superior line up...

yes it is time PS3 meets its maker, as above said, the doom scenario.

PS3 line up is not great either, R2 & LBP not proven, R1 are above 1mil because there is no game when PS3 launched.
