Forums - Sales - Does the PS3 need a price drop to compete this holiday season?

This week is a dangerous one for Sony and the PS3 sales. There's a really good chance they will lose in all 3 regions this week.  Clearly all the momentum from the last years price cut and blu ray win is all gone now. So i`ll repeat the question of topic. Does the PS3 need a price drop to compete this holiday season? Any thoughts

I guess after the 360 went through all those Doom threads, It's the PS3 time.

It'its one week.

Chill...

I agree with DMeisterJ. I mean, watching the epic derailment of the initial Europe numbers thread was pretty funny, but really, one week is not the end of the world, especially when a price cut was just implemented.

And it only dropped 1k from last week... Why price cut?

The PS3 isn't selling bad... The 360 is just selling better...

Last year PS3 would have loved these numbers...

Last year PS3 was 43K on September 29th...

i wish the dropped the price i got tons of friends that want to buy ps3s.
but the price its a big factor.
even a 100$ would do wonders.

I`m in the same boat, i love my PS3 but very few of my friends can afford one at the moment

as long as the ps3 keeps out doing its sales for last year then no, it dont need a price drop
