I just finished Parasite Eve tonight. I plan on playing Xenogears again sometime soon, and probably Silent Hill 2 as well to celebrate 5 coming out.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

SMW - 100% completion. Rondo of Blood - currently playing, awesome game BTW.

I've got at least one full page of VC downloads on Wii. Sonic 2, Super Mario World, and Super Mario 64 are always favorite quickies for me on the VC. I beat Metal Gear Solid:TTS for GameCube the other day (surprisingly short). As for multiplaying, we play DKC occasionally. Oh, I've been playing Mario 2 lately. I got up to the final boss with one life left, then died. Haven't tried again; too frustrating.

Just this week I played through the original SMB, using no warps.  It's amazing how much of the game you miss when you warp through -- 75%!

In the past few months on VC I've beaten Actraiser, DKC, SM64, Kid Icarus, and SF2 Turbo (on 4 stars, cause I suck).

Not exactly "old-school," but I did play through Metroid Prime again recently, and completed it on Hard difficulty with 100% scans to unlock the rest of the art galleries.  This game is too fantastic for words... still amazes me after 5 years.  I played the Ridley and Prime battles, over an hour, literally on the edge of my seat on the couch.  My girlfriend had to give me a back massage as I watched the credits, because my hands were shaking when I put down the controller.

Nice that she supports your gaming like that. I am not a FPS fan, but your comments made me want to try it out.

I've been playing Master of Orion like crazy lately. Why, oh why haven't any good games been made since 1993? =P

ive recently completed DKC, castlevania IV, punch-out, street fighter 2, golden axe, donkey kong, altered beast, sonic 1, streets of rage 1 & 2 and MK64.

Ive also been playing actraiser, toe jam & earl 2, urban champion, castlevania 1, megaman, ninja spirit, super ghould n ghosts, super probotector, gunstar heroes, kirbys adventure, legend of the mystical ninja and DKC 2.

The one ive been playing most tho is zelda 2. I originally got it on the nes in the mid 90s cheap at a boot fair. I found to it difficult because of how different it was to the zelda formula and never really played it, was to busy with my snes and megadrive to. However, after recently playing the twilight princess ive been in a mood for some zelda action and decided to go back and play one of the few i missed out on back in the day. Glad i did as im really enjoying it, although im finding it very hard. Im currently on the 4th dungeon.

Currently making my way through OoT: Master Quest now, while on break from The Wind Waker, as well as SMB 3 when the mood strikes

don't know if it counts, but I bought metal slug anthology, I love those games.

been playing a hell of a lot of that, especially when friends are over

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

Currently playing Battle Lode Runner and Air Zonk on the Virtual Console between serious engagements with RE 4 on the Wii. Battle Lode Runner is proving to be an excellent value for 600 Wii points -- I'm in the mid-thirties levels and some of them are taking me a good hour or two to figure out and successfully execute.
