Forums - Gaming - Lack of Survival Horror games - previous thread follow up

Dead Space looks like an action genre like RE5, also SH homecoming looks like it will follow the same path too.

Fatal Frame series is just pure Horror

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I'm already looking forward to Wii Scared Too: Wii Peed Our Pants.

thats too funny!

On the people saying that this is a niche market...you may be right but I do believe we will see some quality titles in the future. Alan Wake looks like it could potentially be the next gen survival horror experience we've been waiting for. Also, I know that Silent hill 5 won't be AAA but it could be a solid 7.5/10 which to a survival horror fan is better than a 10/10 sandbox game.

Finally, the last promissing survival horror game to be introduced has rumblings of a sequel. Eternal Darkness...

I've never heard of dementium, can someone post a trailer. also is it creepy :D
Cuz i like creepy games :P

@Onyxmeth: You do know that you don't need to press R to switch guns, right? You can just touch them on the touchscreen.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Here's some creepiness

And here's a 1up video review

Also, if you like Dementium, look out for Renegade Kid's 'spiritual successor', Moon, in the same genre.

Moon really has me intrigued. If they offer a proper save system, I'm in.

What ads insult to injury on the Dementium save system is that everytime you open a door, it flashes the word "saving". Saving what? the enemies respawn and if I die nothing is saved!

Again though, sweet game. I'm going to be playing it a lot on my flight.

I know but in the heat of battle that's not really much of an option. If you're off by just a small bit, you'll tilt the screen downwards and have to then change weapons and readjust while being slashed at. The R button is more useful during combat.
