As a person with no skillz I believe this is the best 3D platformer in existence, especially since I can beat it (and fuck those wave races). For the "completionist" win there's 242. Then there's people like RolStoppable who have collected over 8 complete sets of stars or 1936 stars. The more times you finish the game the harder the core you are. Rol is like a diamond. |
I am a completionist but I am not Rol. I'm sure he's done speed runs of the game clocking in at 2 hours and fifteen minutes or under. 242 stars falling off of the stage hundreds of times was enough for me. You and Brawl 4 Life both complain about those Ray races. I didn't find them that hard. I wanted to die during Purple Coins on Dreadnaught and did several times.

Ray races were shit. In fact so was the spring costume and rolling ball levels. Didn't matter though. Its too good to make you hate it

i liked the ray races once i got the hang of them.. got my time down pretty low when competing against others for best times
the only thing missing from this game was a bloody gameplay timer... i want to know how long i've been playing damn it :P

Yes, SMG is a masterpiece and the best game of this gen IMO. Glad to see you like it. Every Wii owner should have this game.

It's truly a masterpiece (or msterpiece as in your title), I still haven't finished it but I like it very much except that a lot of stars are extremely easy to get.

I think it is a pretty good game. A masterpiece certainly. I found it better than the 2D mario's and SM64.

Honestly, is my favorite game this entire gen. You will love this game for years. The music is amazing, the graphics, etc.
I have the 121 stars with both Mario and Luigi... and once in a while, I play the game just to play some stages, just for the joy of playing this epic game.
